Director’s Message
Dear Parents and Friends, Mahatma Gandhi had visualized education as a means of awakening the nation’s
conscience to justice, violence and inequality entrenched in social order. But today, education emphasized the
self-reliance and dignity of the individual, which would form the basis of social relations.
With a modest beginning in 2004, The Horizon, Ballia has never looked back. It has been making
its consistent endeavour to prove its goodwill as a centre of Excellence characterized by individual talents.
My father, a great philanthropist and founder of The Horizon, dreamt of a school in which every individual child
discovers their potential by working in the changed socio-political context with a focus on national development.
We, therefore, have been carrying on the same quest forward.
Horizon means the line at which the earth’s surface and sky appear to meet, as well as the limit of a
person’s understanding or interests. I personally feel that everyone has to set their own Horizon in both ways —
and we are here to facilitate.
Wishing you all the best.
