Dear Parents and Friends, Mahatma Gandhi had visualized education as a means of awakening the nation’s conscience to justice, violence and inequality entrenched in social order. But today, education emphasized the self-reliance and dignity of the individual, which would form the basis of social relations. With a modest beginning in 2004, The Horizon, Ballia has never looked back. It has been making its consistent endeavour to prove its goodwill as a centre of Excellence characterized by individual talents. My father, a great philanthropist and founder of The Horizon dreamt of a school in which every individual child discovers her or his potential by working in the changed socio-political context with a focus on national development. We, therefore, have been carrying on the same quest forward. Horizon means the line at which earth’s surface and sky appears to meet as well as the limit of a person’s understanding or interests.
